For this blog post, I got the opportunity to work with a local photographer.
His name is Eliyah Swopes but he goes by The Swopes as his photographer name.
He graduated from SIU this past year and now lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
He is a very talented and kind photographer and I can't wait to work with him again!
I absolutely adore his aesthetic and his style.
For this shoot, I got to style it myself. We were kind of going for a sporty, flirty, dramatic vibe.
Hence, the pleated, tennis looking skirt, Reebok Classics, oversized, plush sweater and dark lips. We decided braids would be a good hairstyle so that it wouldn't take away from the outfit.
The weather was absolutely gorgeous and he was able to make it look like we weren't even on campus!
After seeing the edited pictures I couldn't believe that's where we took them.
You can check out some of his other work on his Instagram page!

I got this cream, pleated skirt at goodwill! (Surprise, surprise.)

This big, plush sweater is the softest thing ever. It's from JCPenney.

I love the way the different shades of cream and white worked together.

That's actually Woody Hall behind me! Crazy, right?

Sweater: a.n.a brand from JCPenney
Skirt: Thrifted from Goodwill
Shoes: Reebok Classics in cream
Socks: Calvin Klein
